Last updated: 20 August 2026
This Account & Data Deletion Policy explains how users of Wealin can delete their account, remove content and understand what information may remain after deletion.

This Policy should be read together with the Wealin Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
1. Deleting Your Account
You can request deletion of your Wealin account through the account-deletion functionality available in the app.
Where available, the deletion process may require you to confirm your request before the account is permanently deleted.
Once deletion is completed, your account is no longer intended to remain active or publicly available.
2. What Account Deletion Does
Subject to information that we are legally permitted or required to retain, account deletion is designed to remove or de-identify personal information associated with your account that is no longer needed.
This may include information such as:
- profile information;
- biography;
- profile photographs;
- cover photographs;
- experiences;
- Books;
- Lists;
- saved content;
- memories;
- comments;
- social relationships;
- Passport information;
- preferences; and
- other account-related data.
The exact result may depend on the type of information and whether it is connected to legal, financial, safety or purchaser-access obligations.
3. Uploaded Photos and Media
When account or content deletion requires uploaded media to be removed, Wealin is designed to delete files from active storage where they are no longer required and are not still legitimately referenced by other retained content.
This may include:
- profile photographs;
- cover photographs;
- Book media;
- experience media; and
- other user-uploaded files.
Where the same stored file is still legitimately referenced elsewhere, it may not be removed until that reference no longer exists.
4. Deleting Individual Experiences
Users may delete individual experiences without deleting their entire account.
Where an experience is deleted, media that is unique to that experience may also be removed from active storage.
Media that is still referenced by another experience or feature should not be deleted solely because one experience was removed.
5. Replacing Profile Media
When you replace certain uploaded profile or cover media, Wealin may remove the previous stored file once the new media has been successfully saved and the old file is no longer used.
This is intended to reduce unnecessary storage of obsolete user media.
6. Draft and Unused Uploads
Where Wealin provides flows that allow users to upload media before completing an action, the Service may remove newly uploaded files that are abandoned and no longer referenced.
For example, certain draft or “start over” flows may remove current-session uploads that were never saved to completed content.
Wealin does not intentionally delete previously saved media merely because a new draft is cancelled.
7. Purchases and Financial Records
Deleting your account does not necessarily delete the underlying record of a completed financial transaction.
We may retain limited records relating to:
- purchases;
- subscriptions;
- creator sales;
- refunds;
- reversals;
- payouts;
- transaction identifiers;
- accounting;
- tax; and
- financial reconciliation.
These records may need to remain for legal, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, refund, dispute or regulatory purposes.
8. De-Identification of Financial Records
Where appropriate, Wealin may remove or disconnect a deleted user’s direct account identifier from retained transaction records while preserving the underlying financial record.
This allows us to retain the minimum information necessary for legitimate financial or legal purposes without keeping an active user profile.
9. Paid Books and Existing Purchasers
Where a creator deletes their account after selling a Paid Book, Wealin may need to preserve certain Book content or related records to honour valid purchases already made by other users.
This is subject to:
- applicable consumer law;
- intellectual-property rights;
- safety requirements;
- legal obligations;
- platform requirements; and
- our Creator & Paid Books Terms.
Deleting a creator account does not automatically mean that existing purchaser rights must disappear.
10. Removed or Unlawful Paid Content
Wealin is not required to preserve content that must be removed because it is:
- unlawful;
- infringing;
- fraudulent;
- unsafe;
- subject to a valid legal order; or
- otherwise prohibited under applicable Wealin policies.
Where paid content is removed in these circumstances, purchaser rights will be handled in accordance with applicable law and relevant purchase terms.
11. Subscription Records
If you have an active subscription purchased through Apple, deleting your Wealin account does not necessarily cancel the underlying Apple subscription automatically.
You should separately manage or cancel eligible App Store subscriptions through your Apple account where required.
Wealin may retain limited subscription records where necessary for entitlement, refund, accounting or legal purposes.
12. Creator Accounts
If you participate in creator monetisation, deletion of your Wealin account does not automatically eliminate legal or financial obligations that arose before deletion.
We may retain information necessary for:
- completed sales;
- purchaser entitlements;
- creator earnings;
- payout processing;
- refunds;
- accounting;
- tax;
- fraud prevention;
- dispute resolution; and
- regulatory reporting.
13. Pending Payouts
Where creator payout functionality is available, deletion of an account while money remains pending may require additional processing before the account relationship can be fully closed.
We may retain or request information reasonably necessary to:
- determine whether an amount is payable;
- complete lawful payment;
- resolve a reversal or refund;
- comply with tax requirements; or
- prevent fraud.
Account deletion should not be used to avoid legitimate financial obligations.
14. Reports and Moderation Records
Some moderation or safety records may remain after account deletion where reasonably necessary.
This may include limited information relating to:
- serious policy violations;
- abuse reports;
- fraud;
- enforcement history;
- child safety;
- repeated infringement;
- legal disputes; or
- attempts to evade enforcement.
Such records may be retained where necessary for user safety, legal compliance or prevention of abuse.
15. Blocks and Social Relationships
When an account is deleted, social relationships associated with the account may be removed or de-identified.
This may include:
- followers;
- following;
- likes;
- saves;
- comments; and
- blocks,
subject to any information that must remain for moderation, safety or legal purposes.
16. Public Content
Once account deletion is completed, content that depended on your active account is no longer intended to remain publicly associated with an active profile unless there is a lawful reason for continued availability.
Certain content may remain temporarily during technical processing or where necessary to preserve valid purchaser access or comply with legal obligations.
17. Search and Cached Copies
After content is deleted from Wealin, copies may temporarily remain in:
- technical caches;
- backup systems;
- device caches; or
- third-party search results
until those systems refresh or expire.
Wealin does not control copies independently retained by third parties outside our systems.
18. Backups
Deleted information may remain temporarily in secure backups where immediate selective deletion is not technically practical.
Backup copies are not intended to be returned to normal active use except where necessary for disaster recovery, security or legal purposes.
They are deleted or overwritten according to applicable backup cycles and retention requirements.
19. Legal Holds
Deletion may be restricted where we are legally required to preserve certain information.
For example, we may preserve relevant records where necessary because of:
- litigation;
- anticipated legal claims;
- valid regulatory requests;
- court orders;
- tax requirements;
- fraud investigations; or
- other legal obligations.
Only information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose should be retained.
20. Deletion Requests by Email
Where you are unable to use the in-app deletion functionality, you may contact:
For privacy-related deletion requests or data-rights requests, you may contact:
We may need to verify that the request relates to your account before acting on it.
21. Identity Verification for Requests
To protect users from unauthorised account deletion, Wealin may take reasonable steps to verify the identity or account control of the person making a deletion request.
We will not request more information than reasonably necessary for verification.
22. Under-13 Accounts
Users under 13 are not permitted to maintain a Wealin account.
Where we identify an account that is not eligible because the user is under 13, we may remove or disable the account and handle associated data in accordance with applicable law.
23. What We Do Not Promise
Account deletion does not mean that:
- every legal record can always be erased immediately;
- completed financial transactions cease to exist;
- an Apple subscription is automatically cancelled;
- information independently copied by another user is automatically removed from that user’s device;
- third-party search engines instantly remove cached content; or
- information required by law must be destroyed.
We aim to delete or de-identify information that is no longer legitimately required.
24. Privacy Rights
Account deletion is separate from other privacy rights you may have under applicable law.
Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to:
- access;
- correction;
- deletion;
- restriction;
- objection;
- portability;
- withdrawal of consent; or
- complaint to a supervisory authority.
For these requests, contact:
25. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy where necessary to reflect:
- changes to Wealin functionality;
- changes to account-deletion processes;
- changes to storage systems;
- changes to creator or purchase functionality; or
- legal requirements.
The date at the top indicates the current version.
